Two men were found dead after police chased them in a Queensland river during a chase earlier this month, police have confirmed.

The men, believed to be aged 18 and 21, were found in the water on Monday afternoon.
Police were called to the Riverwalk in the Riverland about 5:00pm on Monday.
A member of the public called police and said they were in the river after spotting two men in a vehicle with two others.
“We have found two dead males and a female,” a QMP spokesperson said in a statement.
“The deceased are in their late 20s and have significant injuries to their bodies.”

The two deceased have been identified and are deceased and are in police custody.

Police said the pair had a history of previous “dangerous driving incidents” in the past.”
